Legion Of Mary

The Legion of Mary is a Catholic organization of men, women, and youth who work to sanctify themselves through prayer and apostolic work. The mission of the Legion of Mary is the glory of God through the holiness of its members developed by prayer and active cooperation under the guidance of Mother Mary. The Legion of Mary was founded in 1921 and has been endorsed by the pope.
 
About the Legion of Mary Organization
 
Ministry: Visitation and Communion distribution to homebound and nursing home residents. Spreading the devotion of praying the rosary daily through our Pilgrim Virgin visitation. Participates in First Friday and First Saturday devotions and in Spiritual activities as directed by the pastor.
 
Time: Meet every Monday afternoon for one to two hours.
 
Special Skills: Must be a practicing Catholic, compassionate to others, a willing to serve, and a devotion to Mary through prayers and corporal and spiritual works of mercy.
